Spring Cleanse

Spring time is a great time to begin cleansing your body of all those winter toxins. Remember all the comfort food you ate during the cold days to stay warm? Time to cleanse your body of it and prepare it for fresh ingredients and beach time. I will be sharing some of my favorite juices that I have done and some recipes I have found along the way that can help us all reveal that beach body to the world….

Today I am loving a little something green.

A bunch of celery along with a few leaves of kale and parsley will do the tick. Now sweeten it up with some green apple. To give it that extra zinger of flavor you can use 1 lime, 1 lemon, and a little bit of ginger. If you prefer it on the less sour side, just use either lime OR lemon, not both…flavor preference is up to you. Cilantro is also a great ingredient to add to any green juice.

Back to Juicing!

My morning shot of nutrition begins with a freshly blended juice mix! Juices don’t have to be complicated and can be as little as 1,2,or 3 ingredients! Here is mine from earlier in the week:

  • bunch of organic Tuscan kale from Trader Joe’s
  • fresh pineapple
  • ginger root

My Restart Button

bundle_3_4 After my vacation, I gained some extra pounds thanks to all the relaxing, lounging around, eating all the delicious food that Israel has to offer, and just enjoying the environment. I have a plan for the week to get me back in shape and back to a healthier routine. This first week is critical and I wanted to share what I plan on doing and maybe get some support from everyone πŸ™‚

  • Tuesday: Β Fast
  • Wednesday & Thursday: Juice cleanse
  • Friday: Juice cleanse & Back to the gym

Fingers crossed that I last all week! It rids the body of toxins, which takes away bloating and discomfort. All of the juices are filled with nutrients that give the body what it needs while taking away cravings during the day and helping with weight loss. I won’t need to stop my hectic day at all while on this cleanse; which is why I love it even more πŸ™‚

Tomato Cleanse

Another weekend, another juice recipe to share! This particular juice is not one of the most pleasant to drink especially if you don’t have a taste for salt but it sure is amazing as a cleanse for the weekend! Raw tomatoes have been known to help the body detox especially the lungs. They are also amazing in the prevention of skin, breast, and lung cancer.

Tomato salt cleanse consists of raw tomatoes and some Celtic sea salt in a blender! Drink up and feel instantly better!

Kale Chia Juice

A little mix of fruits and veggies has proven to be absolutely delicious so here is another juice recipe that requires 50% veggies and 50% fruits with a little twist!

  • Bunch of kale
  • Raspberries
  • Chia seeds

Blend and you’re done!

Another day, another delicious juice recipe! This one requires 5 ingredients and is the perfect blend of healthy yet sweet…

  • Kale
  • Carrots
  • Lemon
  • Strawberries
  • Apple

Proportions can be done based on your own individual taste and size of juice.

Fruit & Veggie Smoothie

Another delicious smoothie recipe to share! This one is 50% veggies and 50% fruit giving the perfect balance of everything combined!

Add these ingredients in any proportion you prefer for a delicious treat any time of day…my preferred juice time? Brunch!

  • Kale
  • Celery
  • Ginger
  • Walnuts
  • Grapefruit
  • Raspberries
  • Green Apples

Mix, mix, mix and you’re done!

Blueberry Kale Smoothie

It’s juicing time and today I am sharing another favorite combination that my body absolutely loves!

Grab some frozen organic blueberries, kale, celery, ginger, and all the vitamins from my previous post…blend and you’re done!

Portions of each ingredient depends on your preference and taste…enjoy and happy Monday everyone!
