Food is passion but with passion comes healthy and smart cooking. One ingredient that fulfills that passion is turmeric. It comes in many forms like powder, tablets, and raw. The way I enjoy using it is by grating a whole root.

The color is bright yellow and comes from the root of the Curcuma longa plant with a tough brown skin and deep orange flesh. Used on a grater, it will produce a thick powdery ingredient that can be mixed into any favorite dish to give it a strong and delicious flavor. - 1 cup hemp or coconut milk
- 1/2 cup frozen pineapple or mango chunks
- 1 fresh banana
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric (can be increased to 1 tsp)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon maca (optional)
Add all ingredients into a blender and process until smooth.
